Hello! My name is Bailey Davenport, and because I’ve just started this whole website thing, I want to share a post that will give you a little bit of insight into who I am so we can get to know each other a little better. 🙂

Writing is kind of a sub-plot in my life in general. I would say that the primary focus of my life story is on character development. I married my best friend in August of 2017, and he has been a most excellent partner in that. Here we are:

We live in the pretty little village of Howell, MI with our cat, Montgomery:

He looks kind of sophisticated here, but don’t let him fool you. He’s a total goofball.

I primarily make income from teaching natural horsemanship. I travel to my students’ farms and teach them how to work with their horses. I started the business when I was only 16 years old after this lady bucked me off and broke my arm and I had to learn how to train her to not do that anymore:

I’ve had Roxy 11 years now and we do all sorts of crazy stunts together including horseback archery.

Because Michigan’s winter lasts forever, I’ve had to get other work here and there throughout my life. I’ve tried teaching through the winter, and that is just not fun. My hands are more susceptible to frostbite because of it. I took last winter off to settle in to married life, the year before that I was working as an admin at my church, and the year before that I was a Zamboni driver at an ice rink. I’m hoping to make a little bit of money off of my book this winter and might also just go work retail part time or something.

Your turn! I’d love to get to know you better in the comments section. Let me know how you made it here and what you’re all about. Ask any questions you have for me. Thanks for visiting, and I hope to cross paths with you again soon!
